Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wang Wenbin, stated that intellectual property protection is an important support for innovative development. China is supported by patented technology, continuously improving the quality and efficiency of intellectual property rights, and accelerating the release of innovative vitality. At present, China has a global patent application volume of 126400 solar cells, ranking first in the world. The top 10 key enterprises in China's new energy vehicle sales have a global effective patent volume of over 100000, leading the green and low-carbon industry and helping the world economy recover.

China is continuously expanding its opening up in the field of intellectual property to the outside world, creating a market-oriented, rule of law, and internationalized first-class business environment. Foreign applicants are increasingly willing to engage in commercial activities and intellectual property layout in China. Data shows that in the past 10 years, a total of 253000 patents were applied for by 115 countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" in China, with an average annual growth of 5.4%. As of the end of 2022, the effective number of foreign invention patents in China reached 861000, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. This fully reflects the recognition of foreign-funded enterprises towards the protection of intellectual property rights in China.
